Two needy families receive decent housing

29 Apr 2024

Area Member of Parliament for Mmathethe-Molapowabojang, Dr Edwin Dikoloti, recently handed over two housing units to two families in his constituency.

These houses, constructed with the assistance of Choppies stores, were given in an effort to provide dignity to the recipients.

Dr Dikoloti expressed that having a proper roof over one’s head was essential for maintaining dignity, and he believed that the gesture would help eliminate that challenge for the recipients.

“Some people are likely to talk ill of the donation, but just ignore them and be proud because in life we cannot all be successful”, he said

Ms Kelebogile Ketlanae of Mmathethe and Ms Kebonye Molosi of Digawana were the two beneficiaries.

Encouraging the recipients to take care of their new homes, Dr. Edwin Dikoloti reminded them that the houses were now their own and urged them to be proud of the donation.

Despite the possibility of negative comments about the donation, he advised them to ignore such remarks and find pride in their new homes.

In response, Kelebogile Ketlanae expressed her gratitude for the gesture, thanking the MP, Choppies stores, and the community for helping her realize her dream of homeownership.

Kgosi Kefitlhile Kgwakgwe of Digawana commended all involved in the projects and encouraged them to continue spreading love and goodwill within the community. He emphasized the importance of unity and community support.

The regional manager of Choppies stores in Lobatse mentioned that each unit was valued at a minimum of P120 000 and that they planned to donate a total of 150 units across the country, with over 60 units already donated. ENDS
