Dr Dikoloti donates P30 000 to UCCSA

Member of Parliament for Mmathethe/Molapowabojang has donated P30 000 towards the rebuilding of Digawana UCCSA church which was destroyed by heavy winds.

Speaking after the sponsored walk organised by the church on Saturday in Digawana, Dr Dikoloti said church played a key role in building responsible and progressive communities, hence he saw it fit to assist in raising funds to renovate the church.

He said the church also kept the youth off social ills, noting that those who were raised under the church turn up to be responsible citizens, who then eventually contributed to economic growth.

Dr Dikoloti, who is also Minister of Health highlighted that churches also brought the nation together, adding that during COVID-19 period they were used for various roles such as counselling citizens and using church buildings as vaccination centers.

He advised congregants that there was need for love and cooperation to successfully build the church.

The walk, he said was not only meant to raise funds, but also to encourage healthy lifestyle and  fight non-communicable diseases.  

Kgosi Kefitlhile Kgwakgwe of Digawana urged all to unite  in raising  funds for the completion of the church renovation.

He thanked God for giving everyone the strength and courage to partake in all activities meant to raise funds for the church.

He also thanked Dr Dikoloti for his efforts in helping congregants to raise funds for the church.

Mr Moeti Mooki, the chairperson of the Church building committee explained that the church molded people into responsible citizens.

He therefore thanked Dr Dikoloti and all who contributed towards the good cause of completing the church building.

Different stakeholders were also urged to contribute towards completion of the church, which is said to play different roles such as conducting funerals and weddings. Congregants also donated different amounts to the good cause. ENDS
