Kgatleng District leadership has been urged to put aside their differences and work together in the spirit of co-operation and collaboration towards a common purpose.

Officially opening Kgatleng District leadership forum in Mochudi on April 17, Mochudi West MP, Mr Mmusi Kgafela said the forum was an important starting point for leaders to tackle district problems together to take the district to another level.

He said the platform was a safe space for tackling district issues.

“We should see this meeting as an important platform to tap into the collective wisdom, so let us feel free to speak,” he said.

Therefore, he called for cooperation and asked the district leadership at various levels of decision-making to discuss issues and shun the silo mentality.

For his part, the MP for Mochudi East, Mr Mabuse Pule said the forum was a testament of people willing to work together for the betterment of the citizenry.

Mr Pule appealed to participants to reaffirm their unity as one government and commit to working together towards achieving Botswana’s Vision 2036.

“I am confident that moving forward, we will continue to fight tooth and nail, as we have always done, to ensure that the pathways and visions outlined here today are realised for our district,” he said.

He expressed gratitude for the participants’ insightful contributions and unwavering commitment to the development of the district.

Mr Pule said the meeting was important for guiding the district authorities towards a deeper understanding of the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead in the journey towards achieving Botswana’s Vision 2036.

The meeting was called to share departmental updates, share notes, experiences, challenges as well as to come up with solutions to problems. ENDS
