Speaking at the handover ceremony, hospital superintendent, Dr Lebogang Mokotedi said that the act of kindness served as a reminder of the power of a united community and the importance of coming together to support one another in times of need.

“It is an honour to be chosen amongst others to be recipients of such donations bearing in mind that there is a lot of need in our communities thus we greatly appreciate the gesture,” she said.

Bokone Bophirima Social Club founder, Mr Ogaufi Monamisi said the club started in 2020 with the aim of extending a helping hand to the needy.

“We saw it fit to recognise the needs of our community and to help out in any way that we can so as to foster a better living environment for the members of our societies,” he said.

North West District Council chairperson, Councillor Itumeleng Kelebetseng hailed Bokone Bophirima Social Club for their generosity.

“Taking a quote from the bible, Deuteronomy 15 verse 10 says when you give, give generously and not with a stingy heart; for that, the LORD, your God, will bless you in all your works and undertakings and with that said we only give thanks but your reward will come from God,” he said.

Seventh Day Adventist Pastor, Pastor John Kamedi reminded all that everyone was a steward and ought to manage their possessions for the benefit of the kingdom of Heaven just as mentioned in 1 Corinthians 4 verse 1-2. ENDS
