Mr Keaoleboga Sekandaras of Ikoga is the latest beneficiary of President Bull Donation Drive.

The 39-year-old farmer received a 14-month red Brahman bull from Minister of Agriculture, Mr Fidelis Molao on behalf of President of Botswana Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi at the inaugural Ngamiland Farmers Field Day on April 6.

Mr Sekandaras started his farming journey in 2019 with four cattle he bought with proceeds from piece work, a number that has since increased to 28.

Presenting the gift Mr Molao thanked the donor, Mr Albert Munduu for making it possible.

He said the donation spoke to Vision 2036 pillars which encouraged Batswana to uplift one another.

The minister said the Red Brahman would help improve the beneficiary’s breed and that of other farmers in his area.

Mr Munduu said the gesture was a consensus by the family, to assist a fellow farmer. ends
