The commitments must form part of the Ministry’s 2025/26 Performance Plan and consequently part of strategic Key Performance Indicators (KPI),,” he said.
Mr Mohwasa said some of the KPI included service delivery reforms for improved productivity including digitalisation and reviewed service standards and anti-corruption strategies initiatives, improved agility of government communication that created effective regulatory frame works and develop government communication policy.
He said the Transitional National Development Plan (TNDP12) had been extended to October to align it with government promises in order for the plan to reflect the commitment and aspirations of Batswana.
The minister reminded senior officials about teamwork, emphasising that it was key towards achieving transformation, accountability and in the process enable the ministry to timely respond to government policy reforms, deliver and support mandated services.
He further shared the government’s commitment to reforming State-Owned Enterprise (SOE) and independent departments such as Independent Electoral Commission, and Directorate of Corruption and Economic Crime. He said such would reduce fiscal risk to the government, improve overall economic efficiency and grant autonomy to some of the departments. ENDS
