President Advocate Duma Boko had departed to the United States, where he undertook a working visit to the United States of America on March 1st to March 9 to attend the launch of the first satellite (BOTSAT-1) owned by Botswana.
The satellite launch is scheduled to take place in Los Angeles, California on March 5th.

The development of BOT-SAT1 by a group of Batswana engineers from the Botswana International University of Science and Technology, is also a testament of the potential that  the country has to enhance capacity in space technology and build a robust space programme.
The visit also includes high level meetings, trade engagements and site visits to SpaceX and Starlink facilities.
