Form five results out

The 2024 Botswana General Certificate of Secondary Education (BGCSE) examination results are out.
Speaking at a press conference to announce the results today, Botswana Examinations Council (BEC) board chairperson Dr Olefile Molwane said a total of 36 917 candidates registered for the examinations in 2024 compared to 36 562 in 2023.
He further said the number included 22 199 female and 14 718 male candidates.
The breakdown of the results was as follows:
â—96.24% candidates were awarded grade G or better compared to 95.80% in 2023.
â—74.77% candidates were awarded grade E or better compared to 75.00% in 2023.
â—31.35% candidates were awarded grade C or better compared to 32.30% in 2023.
â—2.84% were awarded grade A or better compared to 3.70% in 2023.
