Construction of two police stations under turn-key model has commenced in Molepolole at Suping and Magokotswane wards.

Minister for State President, Mr Moeti Mohwasa told Parliament that as at February 13, setting out and excavations were in progress.

He said refurbishment of Molepolole Police Station planned to have been undertaken alongside the 83 houses during the 2020/2021, 2021/2022, 2022/2023 financial years was delayed due to financial constraints. However, he said the 83 houses were refurbished during the same period.

Funds permitting, he said major refurbishment to the same would be carried out during the 2025/2026 financial year. To keep the facility habitable, he said minor maintenance was conducted on February 14.

Molepolole North MP, Mr Arafat Khan wanted an update on the construction of the new police stations and the refurbishment of the old Molepolole Police Station. ENDS
