Botswana Cycling Association (BCA) secretary general, Game Mompe has made history by becoming the first Motswana to be elected into the Confederation of African Cycling (CAC) Management Committee.

The CAC Elective Congress was held at Movenpick Hotel in Cairo, Egypt on Sunday.

“We congratulate Game on this achievement, and celebrate the footprint that this win extends to Botswana,” BCA president Kagiso Potongwane said.

He said at a time when the world of sport prioritises women participation in key decision making positions, as BCA, they are most honoured that one of their own has demonstrated the incredible potential and competency that women administrators bring to the fore in global sport.

“We are confident that Game’s involvement at the continental level of cycling will improve the overall development of cycling in Botswana.” said Potongwane .

Potongwane who attended the congress, pointed that Mompe’s achievement was a success for cycling, women in sport and the whole country. ENDS
