Well Wishes for Mahama

Botswana and Ghana are among African countries that are leading democracies and have served as examples of peaceful transfer of power to new administrations, even after 58 years of rule by a single political party, in the case of Botswana. President Mahama who had previously served as the 11th President of Ghana, from 2012 to January 7, 2017, was re-elected into power in December 2024, to succeed President Nana Akufo-Addo who has served since 2017 to January 7, 2025. Peaceful transition of power is part of the democratic processes that signify respect for the rule of law, good governance and respect of the will of the people. Photo:Yobe Shonga
