BHP and BOMAID sign MoU

Botswana Harvard Health Partnership (BHP) and BOMAID have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), marking significant collaboration aimed at advancing healthcare delivery in Botswana.

This strategic partnership seeks to leverage BOMAID expertise in health insurance and BHP’s extensive research and health interventions, creating robust framework to improve public health outcomes, enhance medical research and foster innovative healthcare solutions in the country.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, BHP chief executive officer, Dr Joseph Makheme said the strategic collaboration would help BHP to gain invaluable resources, expertise and support thus enabling the organisation to enhance their capacity to serve, uplift communities and unlock new opportunities for sustainable health advancements that will benefit Botswana for generations to come.

“We are excited to embark on this collaborative journey with BOMAID, this partnership reflects our shared commitment to advancing healthcare access and quality in the health sector. The MOU signifies a monumental step towards fostering innovative solutions that will improve healthcare delivery, expand services and ultimately ensuring Botswana remains at the forefront of health excellence in the region,” said Dr Makheme.

For his part, BOMAID CEO, Mr Moraki Mokgosana said the signing of MoU formalised their collaboration with BHP, which marked a key milestone in their shared vision of enhancing the quality of healthcare in Botswana.

“This partnership aligns with BOMAID’s commitment to providing our clients with access to world class medical services and support. By joining forces with BHP we aim to leverage their expertise and innovative approaches to healthcare, ensuring improved health outcomes. This collaboration is a powerful step towards transforming healthcare delivery in Botswana and making positive impact in communities,” he said.

Also, he said the three Biosafety cabinets donated by Bomaid would aid continual research and capacity building and training. ENDS
