The tarring of Khudumelapye-Metsiabotlhoko road is neither in the current Transitional National Development Plan nor under NDP 11.

Responding to a question in Parliament on Thursday, Assistant Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Mr Keoagile Atamelang said the total cost of the road, the time of commencement of the project, the quantum of labour force to be employed during the construction and estimated time of completion were unknown.

Mr Atamelang stated that should this road be included in future plans of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, all items specified above would be known after a feasibility study or detailed design of the road were conducted.

Letlhakeng legislator, Brig. Domcaza Mokgwathi had asked the minister to apprise the House on the construction of the tarred road from Khudumelapye to Metsiabotlhoko and state the total cost of the road and the time that the project was to start.

Brig. Mokgwathi also wanted to know the quantum of labour force to be employed during construction and estimated time of completion of the project. ENDS
