Desert Bush Walk has handed over P400 000 to various organisations as a way to contribute towards education, health care, poverty alleviation and community development and empowerment.

Speaking during the Desert Bush Walk 2024 community projects handover in Gaborone on Tuesday, the CIS-concepts foundation Board secretary, Ms Olivia Nthoi said the initiative was aimed at making a positive impact on the lives of those in need.

Ms Nthoi highlighted that the donation was a way of changing the lives of other people by addressing their fundamental needs and providing people with the tools to build a better future including giving back to the community as well as bringing people together.

She said their donation was part of their efforts to support various initiatives throughout the country as well as to promote conservation, community development and sustainable tourism.

Ms Nthoi further announced the launch of the 2025 Desert BushWalk, which she said will be on July 26. Ends
