Though Botshabelo Police Station in Selebi Phikwe is not in a deplorable condition, it is among the many police stations that were constructed a long time ago and therefore require constant maintenance and renovation.

This was revealed by the Minister for State President, Mr Moeti Mohwasa when answering a question from Selebi Phikwe East Member of Parliament, Mr Kgoberego Nkawana on Monday.

Minister Mohwasa said the ministry would continue to do minor maintenance to the facility as and when required.

He said funds permitting, the police station would be considered for upgrading in future with other stations.

Mr Nkawana had asked the minister if he was aware of the deplorable condition of Botshabelo Police Station and if so, when his ministry intended to do renovation works on the buildings. ENDS
