Kgosi Benjamin Banyula of Mopipi has been re-elected to represent Boteti at Ntlo ya Dikgosi.
Kgosi Banyula beat Kgosi Dira Galeragwe and Kgosi Joseph Kenalemang with 36 votes while his opponents got 30 each.
The Deputy District Commissioner, Mr Motshwariemang Matseka explained that there were 150 ballots with 122 registered voters.
Mr Matseka said that the numbers of those who voted were 98 with 52 unused ballots.
He indicated that there were two people who did not vote because they did not have their identity documents with them.
Kgosi Banyula thanked Boteti chiefs for entrusting him with the role to represent them at the Ntlo ya Dikgosi for the second time.
He noted that stability and tranquility reigning in Botswana was due to the critical role played by the chiefs in the society.
He however expressed concern that the reputation that the chiefs were well known for, was gradually fading away.
Kgosi Galeragwe and Kgosi Kenalemang thanked their voters and indicated that they accepted result. Ends
