The first edition of Boteti Ultimate Truck And Car Show is destined for Red Bull Crush in Letlhakane from November 29 to 30.

The event director, Theetso Kgatampi said the show whose theme is Celebrating Automotive Culture, intends to offer car dealers an opportunity to market their product range to the consumers of Boteti.

Kgatampi said the show would also offer car dealers a platform to market new car models as well as sensitising and creating awareness among potential buyers.

Through the show, he said, car fanatics would explore financing options and be up to date with automotive tips, so that they could make informed decisions.

He said cars were the most sophisticated mass-produced products and the technological development in general is unpredictable, even when they meet expectations, consumer acceptance varies from one market to the next.

Kgatampi said consumer markets consisted of customers who want to spend or benefit from a purchased product and those who would not buy the product for profit, but to meet their needs.

The role of dealers in the automotive industry, he said, was increasingly important to both production volume and models, hence the need to establish consumer preferences in Boteti.

He said they invited a wide range of car dealers, motorbikes and car parts retailers to buy stalls and exhibit their products as well as educate members of the public about their automotive products.

They have also invited companies customising cars, banks, financiers, insurance companies and spare shops.

Botswana spin masters would also be part of the show. The food stall would be sold for P800 while automotive stalls would be P1 500 and P2 500.

The event is expected to boost tourism business in Boteti and would run alongside Voorslaag Stockman’s auction which is also expected to attract multitudes of spectators who would also boost the local businesses. ENDS
