Choppies has promised to reward the Zebras handsomely if they defeat Mauritania in a do or die encounter to be played next week at Obed Itani Chilume Stadium in Francistown.
A win against Mauritania would quarantee the local boys participation in the AFCON finals to be played in Morocco. In their last encounter against Cape Verde, the Zebras and the technical staff were given P25 000 each.
Botswana Football Association (BFA) president, Tariq Babitseng pledged P5 000, Nicholas Zackhem P10 000 and Choppies CEO, Ramachandran P10 000.
Speaking at a press briefing addressed by BFA president, Choppies representative, Kebonyemodisa Kebonyemodisa said they would not give the figure of how much the players and technical team would get, but that their CEO had promised he would put more money in their pockets.
Zakhem on the other hand said he was happy to have contributed to the game that the Zebras ended up winning. Ends
