100 years old Baratang Rantu cast her vote

WISDOM OF AGE.......Ten minutes before polls closed, 100 years old Baratang Rantu cast her vote at GaMmadira polling station in Ramotswa.

The centenarian who is as fit as fiddle recounted the excitement of taking part in all the past general elections since 1965.

Granny Rantu struggles with her eyesight and needed the assistance of her family and electoral officers to identify her preferred candidates.

Despite her advanced age, Ms Rantu's unwavering commitment to exercise her constitutional right became an inspiration to many.

For Granny Rantu, casting her vote means a lot, including preparing a better life for all and a better life for generations to come.
