Manyana Primary School polling station to close on time despite queue
30 Oct 2024
With closing time eminent, a sizeable number of voters still wait their turn to cast votes at Manyana Primary School (Manyana-Mogonye ward) in the Moshupa/Manyana constituency.
Presiding officer, Ms Boitshwarelo Segatlhe said the only hiccup they encountered included a voter who turned up with no voter registration card and two whose IDs were expired.
She says one of them was later able to vote after collecting her new ID.
Despite the numbers yet to vote, Ms Segatlhe is optimistic that the polling station will close on time.
At Ranoi Primary School in Lotlhakane West - Tshwaane ward, Presiding Officer Mr Lapologang Keisang said they were likely to extend polling time as only a little over 350 of the 653 registered voters had voted by 5pm.
Citing no challenges at the polling station, he said the only minor incidents that occurred were of two voters who turned up to vote at Ranoi Primary School when they were registered to vote at Marutlwe lands and Lotlhakane West kgotla. Ends
