The voting processes progressed smoothly at Ledumang Primary School polling station, following the late opening of the polling station due to late arrival of polling booths.

Explaining what transpired, the Presiding Officer, Ms Keswelang Israel, said when they reported for duty in the morning, the polling booths where not yet delivered at the polling station by the Independent Electoral Commission.

The polling booths arrived at around 08:50 and the voting process commenced at 09:01.

For this reason, she said they had to keep the school gate closed, to ensure no one entered the polling station, until the polling booths had arrived to start voting.

So far, of the 1 033 people expected to vote in the area, she said around 590 had already cast their vote. Voting continues. Ends
