Judgement in a case in which Botswana Congress Party (BCP) has filed an urgent application against the Independent Electoral Commission(IEC) over the election procedures will be delivered in Maun this afternoon.

BCP through its  lawyer Mr Dutch Leburu made submissions before three Judges; Godfrey Nthomiwa, Jennifer Dube and Taboka Slave, at Maun Magistrate Court yesterday requesting the court to compel IEC to provide a digital copy of the amalgamated voters’ roll following suspicions of multiple registration.

 The party also called for the publication of the amalgamated voters roll on the government website and that the motor vehicle carrying ballot boxes be accompanied by polling agents (inside vehicles) and or sandwiched between vehicles driven by polling agents of interested candidates. BOPA
