Chakanyuka and Raguin reach semifinals

Chelsea Chakanyuka and Ntungamile Raguin have expressed desire to go all the way to the finals of the ITF World Tennis Tour-J60 tournament which is ongoing in Gaborone.
The two secured places in the semifinals after seeing off their respective opponents in the quarterfinals today.
Chakanyuka won 7-6, 6-2 against Sapir Cohen of Israel in the girls singles quarterfinals this morning.
Raguin on the other hand was forced to dig deep before prevailing 7-6, 7-6 against Dillion Beckles of USA in the boys quarterfinal encounter which lasted more than four hours.
Raguin said in an interview after the match that he was happy with his performance. He stated that his opponents gave him a tough match.
He said his mission is to make it to the final, and explained that he was going to rest and prepare well for the semifinals.
Chakanyuka said she played a good game against Cohen. She added that she would come even more prepared for the semifinal, where she will face Ophella Davis from Great Britain.
She said her ultimate goal is to make it to the finals.
“I am going to rest, then talk to my coach, and see how we can approach the semi-finals tactically,” she said, explaining that Davis was a closed book to her.
However, she promised that she would do her best to come up with the desired results.
Meanwhile, Mark Nawa has bowed out of the tournament after losing 6-1, 6-4 to South African Pavlos Chirstoforakis. Ends
