Chadibe FC will welcome Township Rollers in what is expected to be a fiery clash in the FNB Premiership encounter billed for Saturday.
The match set to take place at the Francistown Council Stadium, marks the much-anticipated return of football action in the second city.
Football fans are eagerly waiting to witness a showdown between Rollers and Chadibe FC.
Both teams will be vying for victory in this crucial fixture, each aiming to make their mark early in the 2024/2025 season.
Rollers, despite suffering a setback with a midweek 1-0 loss reigning champions Jwaneng Galaxy, are determined to showcase their experience and prowess in the league.
Known for their skillful play and competitive spirit, Rollers will be aiming to bounce back and secure a strong start to the season.
Chadibe FC, a team from the small village of Chadibe near Francistown, recently earned a spot in the elite league for the first time in its history.
Reflecting on their previous game in the third week of the season, they managed to secure a 1-1 draw against the seasoned Gabane-based Union Flamingo Santos.
Despite facing tough competition, the players had shown great resilience and managed to hold their opponents to a draw.
Now, as they prepare to take on Rollers, Chadibe FC players know that the stakes are high and they are aware of the importance of showcasing their skills and proving their worth in the elite league.
“We are determined to give it our all on the field to secure a positive result despite having a couple of injuries,” said Chadibe FC assistant coach, Martin Mazereku.
Those with injuries are Joseph Mbambo and Keabetswe Tiego.
He said the upcoming match promises to be a challenging and exciting test for the team as it aims to continue its journey in the competitive world of elite football.
However, he said Joseph Keitseng had just returned from suspension of successive yellow cards.
Rollers head coach, Mogomotsi Mpote expressed confidence in his team’s preparedness for any match.
He also indicated that the team had six injuries but they were determined to win the game.
Mpote stated that his players commenced training this week and were positive about securing a victory against Chadibe FC, despite their recent loss to Galaxy.
