Sedombo advised to be principled leader

The Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC) parliamentary candidate for the Tonota constituency has been advised to ensure that he advances the wishes of the electorate if he is voted into power during the election.
Advocate Duma Boko, leader of UDC said this recently during the launch of the party’s parliamentary candidates, Mr Gaefele Sedombo and a team of nine council candidates in Tonota.
“Yo ke motho a rongwa ke lona go ya go dira dikeletso tsa lona,” he said to opposition hopefuls as he paraded Mr Sedombo and council candidates before UDC supporters.
He told the audience that opposition was ready to assume the reigns of governance this time around and change Botswana’s socio-economic landscape.
Advocate Boko also called on both parliamentary and council candidates to be reliable and always uphold the party›s principles.
“O tshwanetse gore o tshegetse maikano a re mo go one. Re batla baeteledi-pele ba ba sa rekweng ba sa tshoseweng ebile ba swela dikano,” he said calling on Sedombo to be exemplary leader.
Boko told the masses he was disheartened by the poor conditions Batswana were living under in the current dispensation.
For his part, Mr Sedombo, who spoke on behalf of fellow candidates, promised that he would not disappoint if voted into power.
“Nna ga ke nkgata-ke-thaname ke thamaletse le puo yame e thamaletse,” said Sedombo, assuring the UDC leadership and followers that he would hold fast to the ideals of the Umbrelaa for Democratic Change. Ends
