Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) veteran Mr Eric Molale has hailed the party’s parliamentary candidate for Boteti East, Sethomo Lelatisitswe during a launch event held on Saturday.
Mr Molale emphasised that Mr Lelatisitswe embodied the values and interests of the people he aims to represent.
“Mr Lelatisitswe’s track record of development in Boteti East is commendable,” stated Molale, citing significant achievements under Lelatisitswe’s guidance, including the establishment of a police station, a new primary school, a district hospital, and the Mokubilo clinic.
Mr Molale praised Mr Lelatisitswe as a youthful leader whose capabilities rivalled those of seasoned veterans, highlighting the trust placed in him by the country’s leadership due to his diligent work ethic. This commitment to service ultimately led to his appointment as a minister.
The veteran politician encouraged Mr Lelatisitswe to fully embrace the party manifesto and integrate its principles into his work.
Nata/Gweta parliamentary candidate Polson Majaga also addressed the gathering, stating that existing rivalries within opposition parties create a favorable environment for Lelatisitswe’s success in the upcoming general elections.
He noted that the influx of independent candidates leaving opposition parties would likely fragment their voter base, further benefiting the BDP.
In response, Mr Lelatisitswe assured party members of his commitment to continue making a positive impact in Boteti East, promising to foster collaboration with the newly introduced council candidates. ENDS
