Lelatisitswe new Minister of Health

President Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi has appointed Mr Sethomo Lelatisitswe as Minister of Health.
Mr Lelatisitswe, who was the Assistant Minister of Health takes over from Dr Edwin Dikoloti.
Taking oath of office before President Masisi on September 27, Mr Lelatisitswe vowed to faithfully and diligently discharge his duties as and when required to do so for the benefit of the country.
He has vowed ‘not to directly on indirectly reveal the business of proceedings of Cabinet or the nature of content of any document any other matter coming to knowledge concerning the business and proceedings of Cabinet except as may be required in the discharge of my official duties or with the authority of the President’.
Meanwhile, former Commissioner of Police, Mr Thebeyame Tsimako, who is one of the commissioners recently appointed by the Judicial Service Commission as Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) commissioners took oath of office before President Masisi.
Dr Masisi said after appointment, a commissioner must take oath of office before commencing with the assigned duties. President Masisi said the duties of the IEC commissioners were elaborated in the Electoral Act.
The other IEC commissioners are Messrs’ Kennedy Piet, Maotoanong Sebina, Uyapo Ndadi as well as Ms Elizabeth Masire and Ms Wame Thanke. ENDS
