KgareSebotswane incorporated into Ditshegwane

Kgare/Sebotswane has been granted settlement status and is now formally recognised as a ward of Ditshegwane.
Addressing residents of Kgare/Sebotswane on Monday, Assistant Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Mr Setlhabelo Modukanele stated that following comprehensive consultations government acceded to their request to designate Kgare/Sebotswane a ward of Ditshegwane.
He said this turn of events would allow for services to be brought closer to the residents, ensuring dignified lives.
Mr Modukanele advised the district leadership to prioritise development of Kgare/Sebotswane ward through the District Development Plans and subsequently in National
Development Plan. The ministry is working round the clock to fill vacant posts for dikgosi, to ensure improved service delivery, said Mr Modukanele.
Residents expressed their gratitude to the government for addressing their concerns, noting that the days of traveling approximately 14 km to access services in Ditshegwane would soon be a thing of the past.
“We are grateful and hopeful that we would soon access health services without travelling 14 km to Ditshegwane,” said Mr Ketlhobogilwe Ngakayagae, a resident of Kgare/Sebotswane.
The residents also commended their councillor, Mr Tsabahule Kgotlhang and former Member of Parliament, Mr Tshoganetso Leuwe for effectively conveying their requests to the government. ENDS
