Improving quality access to education resonates with one of the Vision 2036 pillars, says Assistant Minister of Education and Skills Development Honourable Nnaniki Makwinja.
Thus, she said in an interview that the Ministry of Education and Skills Development and Kweneng District Council saw it fit to build new classrooms and increased classrooms in some primary schools to help groom children from a younger age for better academic results and upbringing.
Ms Makwinja had toured pre-schools and primary schools projects in Ditshukudu, Mogonono, Lentsweletau and Dikgatlhong in the Lentsweletau/Mmopane constituency recently.
She said most of the pre-school classrooms would be used beginning of 2025 as most of them were almost complete.
She further said the projects that had been completed and the on-going ones were mainly pre-school classrooms and kgotla offices.
The pre-school project consists of classrooms, learners’ toilets, sick bay and furniture.
“As for the kgotla offices in Lentsweletau of which construction began last week, the offices will be used by the kgosi mainly to help him assist the community, especially by bringing services closer to the people,” she said. Ends
