He said unemployment rate had increased significantly and if Batswana could vote for BDP in the upcoming elections they would continue to be poor. Mr Saleshando said the BDP had impoverished Batswana adding that  corruption had increased.

BCP’s Gaborone North parliamentary candidate Mr Emmanuel Maite urged voters to vote  Dr Gobotswang to Parliament because of the love he has for their constituency.

He said Dr Gobotswang has been an advocate for better  development in Sefhare/ Ramokgonami constituency. Even after being elected as an MP in  2019, he continued to advocate for the constituency and addressed issues that concerned residents such as water shortage, deteriorating roads and lack of school equipment.

BCPs public relations officer Dr Mpho Pheko appealed to Batswana to change the government and vote for the BCP. She said it was the only party that was ready to govern.

For his part, Dr Gobotswang urged voters to take him back to Parliament promising that  he would continue to focus on developmental issues in the constituency.

Highligting some of his achievements, Dr Gobotswang  said   he fought for the constituency  to have access to potable water.

In addition, he said, he appealed to government for maintenance of  the roads  and was he said he was successful.  Dr Gobotswang said he convinced  government to open Limpopo river so that residents could use it for irrigation, tourism and watering livestock.
