His Excellency President Dr Mokgweetsi Eric Keabetswe Masisi  on Friday commiserated  with the family of the former Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) stalwart, Mr Bonno Manyuni.

President  Masisi  said they were shocked by the passing of Mr Manyuni. He said it was even shocking because the deceased's son had passed on not so long ago.

He said Mr Manyuni’s passing was a great loss to his family and Rakops as well the BDP.

President Masisi encouraged the wife to the deceased, Ms Batoli Manyuni, who is also a former BDP councillor to remain strong and put her trust in  the Lord.

The family representative Mr Gabayo Manyuni thanked President Masisi for supporting them during trying times as this was the second visit from the President.

Mr Manyuni said they were humbled by President Masisi’s  support.

He said the deceased succumbed to cold symptoms in July. ends
