Glory beckons for under20 athletes

The Botswana team will head to Lima, Peru tomorrow to make their international debut at the upcoming World Athletics U20 Championships scheduled for August 27-31.
The team, currently in training camp in Gaborone, is made up of six male and six female athletes.
The youngsters will be competing in women’s 200m, men’s 200m, men’s 400m, women 4x100m relay, men’s 4x400m relay and 4x400m mixed relay.
The championships will bring together around 1 700 youthful athletes from 170 countries, making it the largest sporting event in Peru's history, at least for a single discipline.
Meanwhile, the athletes, together with officials, are expected back home from South America on September 3. Ends
