The Ministry of Agriculture is set to establish printing of keeper identity cards in the newly established districts in the country.
Responding a question in Parliament on Monday, Minister of Agriculture, Honourable Fidelis Molao said he was aware that printing of keeper identity cards was currently not done in Tonota constituency.
“Currently farmers have to go to Francistown for printing keeper cards. However, plans are underway to establish this services in the newly established districts including Tonota in this financial year,” he said.
MP for Tonota, Mr Pono Moatlhodi had indicated that veterinary services had continuously been out of stock of keeper identity cards, leaving farmers at his constituency and the Francistown region discouraged.
Mr Moatlhodi wanted to know how the minister intended to address the challenges. ENDS
