Five die in a road crash

Five people died when a minibus they were travelling in overturned between Orapa junction and Borolong village this morning.
According to Tatitown Police station Commander, Superintendent Boipuso Baatweng, the accident was reported to the police at around 845am. He said amongst those who died included four females and one male.
He said the five were taken to Nyangabgwe Referral Hospital were they certified dead on arrival.
Superintendent Baatweng said the minibus which was carrying 18 passengers, including the driver, was from Chadibe village heading to Francistown. He said amongst the occupants were three minors with ages ranging from two to three years.
The station commander explained that the three minors were amongst the passengers who escaped the accident with injuries and were currently being attended in various hospitals in Francistown.
Superintendent Baatweng said the cause of the accident was also still unknown because they had not yet recorded a statement from the driver, who is amongst those who are currently being attended to at the hospital. Ends
