Ministry supports Tati Primary School in tragic loss

The Ministry of Education and Skills Development will provide transportation for students and staff of Tatisiding Primary School to attend the funeral of the three pupils who were allegedly killed by their father eight days ago. 

The three students, aged 13, 10 and eight, who have been attending school at Tatisiding Primary School, will be buried in Tamasane on Sunday. 

“It is our duty as a ministry to provide comfort and support to our employees in their hour of need,” the ministry’s Public Relations Officer (northern region), Mr Leaname Tebele, said. 

Mr Tebele said it was a norm in the ministry that whenever one of theirs died or stressful situation, the ministry provided transport. 

He added: “In a gesture of compassion and support, in this case the government has pledged transport to ferry students and staff to the burial. 

“In times of grief, we stand together as a family. When the unthinkable occurs, we rally behind those who have been touched by tragedy, offering our condolences and our resources.” 

Mr Tebele said the ministry would provide a bus to ferry the students and staff to the funeral. In another similar development, North East District Council Secretary, Mr Leboile Israel, also confirmed that the council would provide a bus to transport the students and the staff to the funeral. 

He said it was a norm within the council that whenever there was a funeral of a council employee, the council provided transport on t.heir behalf. Ends
