Tsela Riders launches new kit
09 Jul 2024
A local road cycling club, Tsela Riders, Sunday held a coffee ride to launch their 2024 kit.
The coffee ride was in collaboration with Rhapsodys Fine Dining Restaurant, starting from Rhapsodys restaurant to Rasesa and back where they had a team bonding session.
The new kit is a progression from the previous kit, with same colours, front and rear badge design and size on the jersey.
It has an addition of the text, Babereki, on the sides going down with cycle cycling tights grey black colour.
In an interview with Tsela Riders chairperson, Charles Vaughan, he said the kit launch came at a time when they had just sealed a three-year partnership with Babereki Investments.
One of our collaborative objective with Babereki is geared at raising funds through charity race to finance a selected charitable cause in 2024,” said Vaughan.
He added that the objective was already realised as construction of a classroom at Mmabana Day Care Centre in Lerala had started and another project would be identified thereafter.
Vaughan further said as a cycling club, their core objective included promoting the cycling sport and a healthy lifestyle in the communities that host the race challenges.
Also, as a club they provide a platform for local cyclists to compete and develop their profession.
“We would also like to see numbers increasing in the cycling sport and our focus as the new committee is to recruit more ladies and girls, which we are getting recently,” he said, adding that the numbers were promising.
In addition, Vaughan said his cycling club housed adventurous people who were into both road and mountain bike disciplines.
Therefore, he said they did not only provide training for road cycling but mountain as well, hence encouraged all to join Tsela Riders and choose either a road or mountain challenge. Ends
