Mokatse village in the Kgatleng District, is set to host a children’s race for all levels at Melo Park on July 6.

Organised by Lifecycle Bicycle Coaching and Tuition alongside Paratus Botswana, the mountain bike (MTB) race, which is stage two of the four part series, offers an opportunity for both experienced and beginners in the MTB discipline to experience each stage in a fun and safe environment.
The race route had been categorised into three distances of 5km, 10km and 20km .

Myra Mantle, Subho Ghosh as well as Rebaone Khunofu, who have shown exceptional performance since the start of the Paratus Bike Shredders challenge, are expected to partake in the junior category.
For shredders who would be doing less distances, it would not be much of work as the route is generally less technical with mostly jeep track.
Therefore the youth and junior boys and girls should record best times because for them, the route would just be a walk in the park.
For the under 10, the race would be most fun as they would be cruising along the Mokatse jeep trails with no technical terrain to maneuver, especially that most of them, particularly 5-7-year-olds, would have parents riding behind them to escort them throughout the race, if needed.
