 President Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi has applauded Ambassador of Algeria to Botswana for significant contribution to strengthening the bonds of friendship and cooperation betweent he two countries , which dates back to yesteryears.

President Masisi said during a courtesy call by Mr Mourad Adjabi prior to his departure to Paris, France yesterday, that Botswana attached a lot of importance to her diplomatic relations with many countries, which in most cases were premised on shared values.

“Botswana will forever be grateful for the strong bilateral bonds it shares with other nations, hence stay committed to nurture such relations,” President Masisi said.

To that effect, he noted that Botswana remained keen to foster multilateral relations with strategic partners and expanded on existing areas of cooperation.

He said Botswana noted with admiration Algeria’s relentless efforts in the production of pharmaceuticals, an area that the country was also keen to tap into.

Mr Adjabi expressed gratitude to Botswana for its hospitality and warm support during his tenure.

He referred to Botswana as his second home owing to the warm reception and stability in the country, which he said made him feel at home.

Mr Adjabi further wished Botswana peace and stability in the upcoming general elections. ENDS
