Masisi visits France Germany

President Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi will participate at the launch of the Africa Vaccine Manufacturing Accelerator (AVMA) programme in Paris, France tomorrow.

The AVMA is a financial instrument that supports sustainable vaccine manufacturing in Africa and it is expected to contribute to healthy global vaccine markets as well as enable the continent to effectively build capacity to bolster pandemic, prevention and preparedness.

A press release from Ministry of Foreign Affairs says President Masisi, who is on a working visit in France and Germany from Tuesday until Saturday, will also hold bilateral talks with his French counterpart, Mr Emmanuel Macron.

President Masisi will  then visit Germany from Friday until Saturday where he will also participate in a number of high-level engagements including delivering an address at the Botswana business roundtable, which is aimed at promoting business investment opportunities in Botswana.  

President Masisi is accompanied by Minister for Foreign Affairs, Dr Lemogang Kwape, Minister of Environment and Tourism, Mr Dumezweni Mthimkhulu as well as senior government officials. Ends
