Darts Association selects national team

The Botswana Darts Association (BoDA) has selected a national team to represent the country in all darting activities for the 2024 and 2025 regional and international competitions.
The selection of the team was finalised on May 31, 2024 and it was done in line with the BoDA activity plan in an endeavour to assemble a competitive squad to represent the country.
A press release from BoDA says the first assignment of the team will be to represent the country at the 31st AUSC Bi-Annual Senior Darts Championships to be held in Matshapa, Eswatini in August 26-31.
It says the selection had attracted 113 darts players from the various clubs across the country.
The selected darts national team for both men and women are in the senior, veteran and youth categories.
The senior men team is made up of Retshepileone Smith, Wame Gomang, Kekhumo Karonda, Tshireletso Mokalaka, Tumelo Poloka, Letsogile Kennekae, Oaitse Moagi and Jimmy Moshokgo.
The senior women team includes Boipelo Masimele, Kgarakgatshego Madandume, Malebogo Chibidu, Esther Siwane, Keneilwe Kabanna and Mpho Stone.
The trio of Lame Poloka, Laone Kereteletswe and Phatsimo Madisa are in the U-25 girls team, while the trio of Thatayotlhe Robert, Gaolaolwe Karonda and Marius Poloka are in the U-25 girls team.
In the veteran category, the trio of Kelebonye Setlhalefi, Thaka Senna and Shimanyana Lebakeng are the veteran men team while the duo of Florah Chikwani and Siane Ompaletse are in the veteran women team. ENDS
