Talent lights up Forbes 30 night

The Pan African Welcome Celebration during the opening of Forbes 30 Under 30 featured stellar performances by local musicians, showcasing Botswana’s vibrant music scene.
Esere Diloro, aka Ezra Neethings, had the crowd on their feet with his chart-topping hits, including the crowd favourite, Danko.
Batswana’s unwavering support for their homegrown talents was evident as the audience sang along passionately to every song.
Hanceford Magapatona, known as Han C, didn’t disappoint either, treating the crowd to his popular tracks like Maloba.
The highlight of his set was when Acting President Slumber Tsogwane joined him on stage for a dance, even requesting his favourite song, Itsatsaula.
Han C also shared the stage with Miss World Africa, Lesego Chombo, adding to the excitement of the night.
The presence of Motswako artist and rapper, Atlasaone Molemogi, aka ATI, further electrified the atmosphere.
ATI’s performance had the audience singing along word for word, a testament to his revered status in Botswana’s music scene.
Vocalist and songwriter Mpho Sebina enchanted the crowd with her soulful voice, leaving them spellbound.
One enthusiastic attendee could not contain their admiration for Botswana’s musical talent, echoing the sentiments of many.
International artist DJ Nick Cannon also graced the stage, adding his flair to the festivities.
A performance to be appreciated by those who appreciate rap music.
Throughout the event, patriotism was palpable, with the Master of Ceremonies Thato Matlhabaphiri, aka Scar, and South African model, actress, and humanitarian, Nomzamo Mbatha, guiding the proceedings.
The showcase of Botswana’s music undoubtedly left a lasting impression on the international guests, enriching their experience of the country.
The event also provided a platform for small and medium-sized enterprises at the main mall to exhibit their crafts, including beadwork, leather designs, and traditional attire.
Food vendors delighted international visitors with Setswana cuisine such as Seswaa sa podi, bogobe jwa lerotse and mosutlhwane while Solly Sebotso serenaded guests with his soulful guitar melodies, making it a truly memorable evening.
The choreographers added a touch of dancing, and choirs were present to showcase the cultural diversity of Batswana.
The atmosphere at the main mall was unique, with lights lining the alley creating an exotic ambiance, beautifully showcasing Botswana’s rich culture. Ends
