Botswana Premier League games continue this weekend as log leaders Township Rollers face Nico United at Selebi-Phikwe’s Sam Sono Stadium on Saturday.

Nico United, who are currently at the bottom of the log with nine points, from 12 innings, will have to dig deeper to upset high ridding Township Rollers.

In their efforts to remain in the elite league, Nico United aka Majombolo has beefed up their squad having signed defender Fortune Tuelo and Zimbabwean striker, Tinashe Makanda.

Equally, Township Rollers will be under pressure to win the game to secure their position at the top, as they are separated by only four points from their nearest chasers, Gaborone United (GU).

On the same day, Morupule Wanderers will receive Sua Flamingos at Palapye Stadium, Masitaoka will play against Police XI at Dinaledi Football Academy Stadium, while Security Systems and Eleven Angels will take their battle to Lobatse Sports Complex.

Matebele will travel to Francistown to have a date with Tafic at Obed Itani Chilume Stadium, while Jwaneng Galaxy will have a date with VTM at Galaxy Stadium.    On Sunday, GU will play against BDF XI at Lobatse Sports Complex.

The soldiers currently occupy position four on the table with 19 points and their desire will be to close the gap between them and log leaders Township Rollers, who have 27 points.

Orapa United will parade their new signees, amongst them Stephen Sibanda, Koketso Modisane, Kleophas Useb and Tinashe Balakasi, when they play against Holy Ghost at the National Stadium.

All the games will be played at 4pm. Meanwhile, the league’s chief executive officer Senzo Mbatha said he was happy that the football leadership had managed to resolve the recent impasse concening the game of football. He said it was all systems go, given that all the logistics and stakeholders such as referees were ready to officiate the league games. Ends
