In an interview, Jwaneng Galaxy coach, Morena Ramoreboli said he believed his charges will be able to take advantage of playing at home and win the game.
“Surely we are looking for a win and make Batswana proud. Jwaneng Galaxy will be the first team in Botswana to make history and proceed to the knockout stage of the competition,” said Ramoreboli.
He also praised his players, saying his attackers are some of the best strikers in the domestic league.
The gaffer said even the God of football would be shocked if they lose the game given the good and talented players he has assembled for the game.
He said their opponent is a very strong power house with experienced and talented players and cannot be undermined.
Ramoreboli appealed to their supporters and Batswana as a whole to come and fill up the stadium and cheer the boys on.
“In this game, we are not a mining team but we are representing the country and we expect Batswana to treat us like that,” disclosed Ramoreboli.
With such strong words of encouragement, the team is surely motivated and ready to face their opponents.
In addition to expressing confidence in the team’s abilities, the coach will also have to use this opportunity to emphasise the importance of discipline and teamwork.
He will need to remind the players to focus on their strategy and stick to their game plan as well as encourage them to stay calm under pressure and to believe in themselves.
The coach will also do well to remind his players to respect their opponents and to remember the importance of fair play and sportsmanship. ENDS
