06 Dec 2023
Botswana Football Association CEO, Mfolo Mfolo (left) and president, Maclean Letshwiti during the association’s activities update press briefing in Gaborone yesterday. Letshwiti said they were on a campaign to raise P10 million for the Mares to prepare for the 2024 Women’s AFCON in Morocco.
On other issues, he said BFA would give away 5 000 balls to football clubs across all regions as way of propelling grassroots football to new levels.
He said the gesture was a clear acknowledgement of the fact that football had become increasingly central to local communities across the country.
Letshwiti said each football club across the regions would receive ten balls and that a football club that had women and youth wings, would receive a total of twenty balls. Ends
