Galaxy miss crucial points

Defending champions, Jwaneng Galaxy, denied themselves a perfect opportunity to top the BPL league log on Saturday when they played to a two-all draw with Police XI.
The game was played in the mining town of Jwaneng on Saturday afternoon.
Daniel Msendami, who has been on a scintillating form, opened the scoring sheet just three minutes into the game, thanks to the sloppy defense of ‘The Jungle Kings’ who failed to clear their lines.
The evergreen Thabang Sesinyi registered the second goal after some well-crafted move inside the box, giving the home side a good advantage to control the somewhat lukewarm game, as the opponents seemed lost.
Galaxy, affectionately called Lesagaripa la Dinaledi continued to dominate the game until the first half went to recess.
The Jungle Kings came back from the break a rejuvenated side and Thabo Setutwe pulled one back for the visitors before Thabiso Boti equalized just two minutes after the first goal.
Having been a game of two halves, the two sides shared spoils at the end and one could safely say Galaxy was saved by the final whistle as Police dictated terms toward the end of the match.
After the weekend games, Galaxy are now on position three, tied at the top with Gaborone United and Township Rollers with 13 points each and only separated by goals conceded.
Meanwhile, in Lobatse on Sunday afternoon, BDF XI also shared the spoils with Masitaoka FC. The game, which was poorly attended, might have had a bearing on the outcome as players from both teams could barely combine well.
However, Matebele could have grabbed all the three points on offer had they been clinical in the last third, a problem, which saw them squandering quite a number of chances against Majatlhaga. Ends
