URI Black Forest has stunned Mochudi Centre Chiefs 1-0 after they suffered defeat by the same margin in their opening Debswana First Division South league game.
Magoleng, as the Mmankgodi-based outfit is fondly known by its supporters, surprised the home-side favourites at their Riverplate Stadium in Mochudi on October 21.
The Kgatleng outfit had a promising start and searched for an early lead, but were too casual inside the opponents danger area with Remington Masuku enjoying the lion’s share of opportunities.
The visitors also created a couple of scoring opportunities but missed the target.
On the stroke of half-time, Forest attacker Wilfred Dithwane finished a brilliant build-up by easily tapping past Tumisang Selolwane to give the visitors the lead.
They approached the second stanza with caution to protect their lead and their defence thwarted any attempts from the home team.
Chiefs enjoyed more possession with time running out, but they fumbled their chances.
In other league encounters, Lobatse-based Extension Gunners registered their second victory on Friday.
A goal in each half by new signings Boyo Lechaena and Kabo Matshula were enough to gift Mapantsula maximum points and a clean sheet.
Jwaneng Young Stars sprung to the summit of the league via a 3-1 victory against Flamingo Santos at the Galaxy Stadium.
At the SSG grounds, Prisons XI scored three against Desert Nxau. ENDS
