Eleven Angels lie in wait for BDF XI

Eleven Angels Football Club is set to face BDF XI in a Botswana Premier League match that is sure to bring the heat to the Obed Itani Chilume Stadium in Francistown on Sunday.
The home team has the advantage of a large and passionate fan base in the second city, while BDF XI has the military’s formidable support. However, if Eleven Angels cannot rise to the challenge and claim victory in their first home game, it will be a big disappointment for their fans and a major blow for their season.
Lekgamu la Bananyana, as Eleven Angels are affectionately called, get into the match with a point having played two games; 1-all draw against to Morupule Wanderers FC and a 3-1 loss to Township Rollers, whilst BDF XI has four points after a 0-0 draw against VTM FC and 3-0 win over Sua Flamingoes.
On Wednesday, Eleven Angels succumbed to a 3-1 defeat to Township Rollers at the Royal Aria Stadium while BDF XI walloped Sua Flamingoes 3-0 at the Sowa Town Council Stadium.
Angels coach, Seemo Mpatane, has great confidence that he will win the game by putting his focus on the importance of doing his assignment well, which is a testament to his dedication to preparation and strategy.
“While the season may be tough, I am not giving up the fight yet and I want to promise supporters my commitment and I will use every tool at my disposal to come out victorious,” said Mpatane.
He indicated that it was time for the team to put on a good show and prove their mettle.
He said for his team to defeat BDF XI, he would need to focus on a few key strategies such as to take advantage of the home ground and play to the strengths of the team.
“Secondly, Eleven Angels need to create a solid defense line that can withstand BDF’s attacks and they must use their speed and agility to outmaneouvre BDF XI’s defense,” he noted.
Mpatane said his team must capitalise on any scoring opportunities that may arise adding that BDF XI is ‘strong and physical’.
“If Eleven Angels can execute these strategies, they have a good chance of winning the match,” said Mpatane. Meanwhile, in games to be played on Saturday, Township Rollers will come face to face with Mmopane-based Holy Ghost FC in Tlokweng while Gaborone United takes on VTM at the National Stadium. Matebele will entertain Jwaneng Galaxy at the VTM Arena. On Sunday, Security Systems will face Masitaoka at Dinaledi Stadium. Ends
