Africa’s fastest man and Orange Botswana’s brand ambassador, Letsile Tebogo received a hero’s welcome at the Orange headquarters in Gaborone recently.

The rooftop venue at the company’s headquarters provided a breathtaking view of the capital city and created a perfect backdrop for celebrating the young athlete’s incredible achievements.

Tebogo’s recent performance at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest was impressive and his homecoming did not disappoint as Orange pulled out all the stops to give the exceptional athlete a reception he deserved.

Orange Botswana acting CEO, Maano Masisi lauded the 20-year-old’s performance. He said his breathtaking performance at the championships was worth celebrating and that they were proud to have forged a partnership with him. “What a man, what a talent, what a star, a champion, a record breaker, a man of many firsts,” said Masisi.

He added that Tebogo was a shining example of what dedication, focus and excellence could achieve and that their partnership with him represented a commitment to recognising and supporting exceptional individuals who inspire the nation.

“You will be granted a well-deserved, exceptional performance reward valued at P150 000,” the acting CEO said, eliciting applause and rapturous cheers from the crowd.

In addition to Tebogo’s hefty reward, his coach and mother were also appreciated for their unwavering support and dedication. Each received P10 000 for their pivotal roles in Tebogo’s journey.

In his brief address, Tebogo expressed gratitude to Batswana and Orange for their unwavering support. The ever smiling and humble athlete said he hoped for a long partnership with Orange. ENDS
