An all local act afro house and afro tech music show will be held at Sky View Lounge, Gaborone on August 5.

Beyond U’S, an initiative by Tefo Foxx, will showcase local talent to give them an opportunity to shine. 

Tefo Phokoje, Popularly known as  Tefo Foxx said in an interview that the concept was meant to celebrate Botswana talent through an exclusive music show. 

“We do not have a lot of events locally which focus on just local acts and with these genres hence the event,” he said.

He said so far Benny T, BentiqSoul, Shawn Lee, JembeSoul, KZar, Osaka Sun and KELE had confirmed their participation. 

“We want to push this as a day event, and Sky View provides the perfect, safe and inclusive environment for this experience,” said Tefo Foxx adding that he hoped for more support from Batswana .

Based in Pretoria, Tefo Foxx has made a mark in the entertainment space particularly the afro tech. 

He said he learnt a lot during his stay in South Africa while pursuing his career, and felt now was the time to engage with fellow country artistes. 

“I have had privileges and I am excited to share and engage with my people here at home, after all home will always be home no matter how far one goes. I am happy that I am doing this in my country,” he stated. Ends
