Jwaneng Galaxy sealed their victory as Botswana Premier League champions after thrashing Eleven Angels 2-1 in Jwaneng on Saturday.
The GalaNation followers were on cloud nine as their team clinched the much sought trophy, gold medals and P750 000.
Thabang Sesinyi scored Galaxy’s first goal on the 44th minute and increased the lead on the 51st minute,.
The goals did not deter Eleven Angels from scoring as Shanganani Ngada reduced the margin on the 65th minute.
In a post-match interview, Jwaneng Galaxy head coach, Morena Ramoreboli, said their victory was a sign of the team’s quality.
Having a quality team and committed players, he said, made it a bit easier to work together towards achievement set goals.
He thanked the club’s management, players, supporters and the GalaNation.
He urged them to continue supporting the team, adding that there was potential for growth.
Ramoreboli highlighted that great teams did not make it overnight, hence the need for Galaxy to be consistent in build a formidable team. For his part, Eleven Angels head coach, Seemo Mpatane said even though the game did not change their position in the league, they took it seriously.
He said despite the loss, he was happy about his side’s performance, noting that they improved their play in the second half.
Mpatane said people expected a lot from them therefore they had to work hard going into the next season, by using experience they got from the just ended season to grow.
He said he was happy with the support they got from supporters, adding that also motivated them to keep on working hard.
Eleven Angels head coach said the other reason behind their success was that they knew each other socially and professionally, noting that they all understood their goals and were eager to achieve them. ENDS
